Appello e “chiamata” alla Preghiera per tutti i Cattolici Vegetariani e amici o simpatizzanti.
Desideriamo oggi richiedere, da qui alla elezione del nuovo successore di Pietro, preghiera da parte di tutti noi, inclusi amici e simpatizzanti, affinché il nuovo Papa che verrà eletto sappia includere nella compassione cristiana ogni creatura vivente; possa egli -richiamandosi a Genesi 1,29- comprendere e far comprendere a tutto il popolo cristiano che l’immagine e Somiglianza con Dio-Amore passa anche attraverso la buona custodia di tutte le creature e di tutto il Creato (ivi inclusa la pratica vegetariana, ma non solo); che Dio possa concedere alla sua Chiesa un Papa che possa mostrare compassione verso ogni vita, perché Dio apprezza tutta la sua creazione (nulla disprezza di quanto ha creato). È indubbio che il popolo cristiano abbia ritenuto poco importante questa tema che invece è fondamentale (altrimenti Dio non ci avrebbe costituito così).
Il nostro appello è una “chiamata alle armi” intendendo per armi la preghiera di tutti coloro che ritengono questa necessità impellente e fondante.
Proponiamo:
-preghiera personale secondo quanto lo Spirito Santo suggerirà a ciascuno;
-offerta di almeno mezz’ora di adorazione del Santissimo Sacramento;
-digiuno di un pasto o di una giornata;
-recita, personale o comunitaria, del Rosario del Creato _ Associazione Cattolici Vegetariani;
-offerta delle intenzioni in una Santa Messa;
-partecipazione alla Santa Messa;
-invocazione allo Spirito Santo;
-esicasmo con il nome di Gesù;
-ogni altra forma di preghiera ritenuta consona al pregante;
-adorazione in Spirito e verità.

Appeal and ‘Call’ to Prayer for all Catholic Vegetarians and Friends or Sympathizers.
We wish to request, from now until the election of the new successor to Peter, prayer from all of us, including friends and sympathizers, that the new Pope may include compassion for all living creatures in Christian compassion; may he – referring to Genesis 1:29 – understand and make the entire Christian people understand that the image and likeness of God-Love also passes through the good stewardship of all creatures and the entire Creation (including vegetarian practice, but not only); may God grant His Church a Pope who can show compassion towards every life, because God appreciates all of His creation (nothing despises what He has created).
It is undoubted that the Christian people have considered this theme of little importance, which is instead fundamental (otherwise God would not have constituted us in this way). Our appeal is a “call to arms” meaning prayer from all those who consider this necessity urgent and foundational.
We propose:
– Personal prayer according to what the Holy Spirit suggests to each one;
– Offering of at least half an hour of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament;
– Fasting from a meal or a day;
– Recitation, personal or communal, of the Rosary of Creation – Catholic Vegetarians Association;
– Offering intentions in a Holy Mass;
– Participation in Holy Mass;
– Invocation of the Holy Spirit;
– Hesychasm with the name of Jesus;
– Any other form of prayer deemed suitable by the praying person;
– Adoration in Spirit and truth.
